The LVHSGA and the Municipality of Camaiore have joined forces to secure the future of this prestigious international event

Following the success of the first Longines Versilia Horse Show, presented by Giorgio Armani, the partnership with the Municipality of Camaiore has been further strengthened.
A multi-year agreement has been signed by Marcello Pierucci, the mayor of the Versilia municipality, and Riccardo Boricchi, the show director of the Versilia Horse Show and the Italian Champions Tour.
This agreement confirms the parties’ commitment to continuing their efforts to promote sport and the values of inclusion and participation.
It also confirms their commitment to enhancing the local area and its excellence through the international horse show. This show will continue to be one of the jewels in the crown of Camaiore and the whole Versilia.

“We are immensely pleased to continue this partnership, which is showcasing Lido di Camaiore throughout Italy and around the world with a world-class event. Even during its very first edition last year, it was met with approval and enthusiasm from both the public and competitors,” emphasised Mayor Pierucci. “The location, just a stone’s throw from the sea, lends a unique charm to an event that has already established itself at the top of the international circuit. We are sure that the LVHSGA will continue to drive tourism and the economy, bringing us immense satisfaction over time.”

The fruitful collaboration with the Municipality of Camaiore made a tangible contribution to the great success of the last Longines Versilia Horse Show, presented by Giorgio Armani. This event generated significant economic benefits in terms of hospitality and promotion.

This has led to renewed harmony and commitment from the council and the organising committee to further develop the equestrian competition, which has been upgraded for 2026. In fact, the International Equestrian Federation and the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation have classified it as ‘5-star’, the highest achievable rating at an international level. The event has thus rightfully joined the select group of CSI5* events on the global show jumping scene, of which there are only four in Italy!

This agreement – commented Riccardo Boricchi – allows us to plan the event continuously, improving it season after season. For this, I would like to thank Mayor Pierucci and the entire council for their trust and foresight. The excellent technical feedback received for the 2025 edition from riders, officials and main stakeholders comes, in fact, thanks to the support of the institutions, and first and foremost the Municipality of Camaiore, which immediately believed in our project to make the Versilia Horse Show one of the ‘top’ events on the international calendar. This success is also evident in the two ‘title sponsors’, Longines and Giorgio Armani, who will continue to associate their brands with the equestrian competition. Therefore, in 2026, the event will again be called the Longines Versilia Horse Show presented by Giorgio Armani. Last but not least, confirmation of a leg of the prestigious Italian Champions Tour within the LVHSGA further reinforces its value.”

The Longines Versilia Horse Show presented by Giorgio Armani will take place in Lido di Camaiore from 7 to 10 May 2026. From a sporting point of view, this edition will be even more prestigious: the world’s top riders expected in Versilia will have the chance to qualify for the World Show Jumping Championships, scheduled to take place in August in Aachen, Germany.
